As part of the efforts for helping the Afghan refugees and evacuees in the United Sates, the Afghan Medical Professionals Association of America (AMPAA) supported a two-day Job Fair event at Hyatt Regency Tysons Corner on May 6th and May 7th, 2022.

The event was sponsored by Welcome US and Talent Beyond Boundaries in partnership with REACT DC and Tent Partnership for Refugees.

The goal of the event was to provide an opportunity for Afghan evacuees in the area of Northern Virginia for developing their CVs, conducting interviews for job opportunities of various skill levels across different sectors and enabling the Afghan evacuees to establish networks with employers. AMPAA, in close coordination and cooperation with other implementing organizations, helped with interviews, creating CVs, guiding the participants, and filling the job applications for Afghan refugees. As result of the event, there were a total of 458 interviews, with 95 hires on the spot; networking between Afghans and employers, and many of the second round of interviews have been achieved.
